Breakfast of Booze - Epic Meal Time

Eventually, i'm going to have my website URL, direct you to my blog. I've given up on learning website design. So much coding... I think its easier just to keep everything on my blog. As soon as i learn how to set up a gallery on the illustration,3d and freelance pages. i'll be good to go.

it is sad, i don't have anything to post, artwise anyways. Its real difficult to work on your own projects specially when 8 hours of your life is put into other peoples work, everyday.

But i do enjoy my job. I love it. My escape from reality. I look forward to it every weekend. Odd yea? ha. Indeed. But i love it.

Found this amazing dude on youtube and his channel called, EpicMealTime. I think the breakfast video is freaken awesome. Definitely want to try this meal sometime in the future.

Z is for Zombie

So i've decided what my next major project is, this one might take a long long time. I need to be patient with it and not rush showing off any new material for it, until i have a large majority of the project done.

But i will tell you what it is. I've been really inspired by the wave of Zombie material coming out recently. Specially with the new Walking Dead series thats based off the comics. I decided to make my own Zombie graphic novel, but a comedic one. Ones that can be serious, but most of the time, its just silly and fun.

I do have a outline of the story, just need to fill int he details, tons. And i even started developing the characters as you can see. So, in the upcoming months, i'm probably gonna post more concept work from it, but not give away the story. So this should be fun. Hopefully, i can actually finish it. lol

Assassins Creed: Feudal Japan

Brotherhood was such an amazing game, but having the game take place in the middle easter and then Europe, for 2 games. I really hope they change it up with the next installment. I understand Desmond is a white dude with some middle easter ancestry, and that there's no way that he could possibly have asian japanese roots too.... But i hope somehow they can tell a story with a japanese assassin.

The immediate conclusion when you think of Assassins Creed in Japan, is the guy should be a Ninja. Because they're agile and do assassinations in stealth, but ultimately i liked the samurai concept better. It has more to work with than a simple ninja outfit.

A friend said, how would a samurai do free running with all the armor on them... In which i replied, How did Altair and Ezio do free running with all that stuff on them too. Seriously. Ezio in AC2 had crazy amounts of Metal Armor, swords, smoke bombs, daggers and crossbows all over his body, yet he's the Ninja of the Europe. lol

Anyways, i'm going to tune the concept some more and then, when i get my new baby, do a 3d model of the character. Its gonna be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Did this illustration for Niko The Messenger as a tshirt design. They contacted me at like the last moment and i decided to do it cause we have a mutual friend. It was really nerv wrecking to get it done in time especially cause i was working on another project on top of my job... But i ultimately got it to a place where i like it.

redesigning old characters of mine

Had some free time on my hand tonight and i figure it be cool to go back and redesign some of my old characters. I had this project in my storyboarding class back in college, where i came up with a story about a band of space traveling pirates. It was actually really elaborate in its story and there is just so many tales that can be told with the material and characters i came up with, but i haven't really done much with it.

But i did however draw the characters out. Now that i'm a little bit wiser and skilled, i figure maybe i go back and redesign those characters just for fun, or maybe eventually do something with them in the future. Anyways, one of the characters is Cat.

Although the new design i'm working on doesn't really show her spunk as i originally written her, i think overall, i really love the new character design. Its still work in progress. Hopefully i'll continue working on her till shes finish and then move onto the other characters. Awesome! hope you enjoy!

Stephen the Levite's EP: The Forerunner

Since their already posting the image up for preorder, i figure i can do the same. I recently did some illustrations for Lampmode Record's Stephen the Levite's new EP: The Forerunner. ( can click the link if you wanna purchase a copy.

They wanted a Boondocks'y look to the character. The official description was have Darrel aka. Stephen the Levit, be a modern day John the Baptist reincarnate in comtemporary North Philly, make sure he has a whistle, crowd around him of all walks of life. And a few other details... Wallabies... Did everything to the T.

I added text to it as well, but they didn't like it so, they added their own, which is alright with me, still got paid either way.

Overall, i'm happy with how things turned out, The EP is coming out later this month. And i wish they'd send me a copy already so i can shoot product photos!!!

sidenote - product photos are kind of awesome.

gotta start doing art again

Haven't really been doing any art lately. Going to work seems to pull all of the artistic desires out from me. I used to wanted to create art all the time, but since i've been going to work all day, i dont seem to have the energy to do it anymore on my free time.

So this is a attempt at doing something creative again. Fail? i dunno. lol its a scrap, not something i'd be super happy about, but whatevs.

i worked with a colorful array of people. And one of them is this awesome guy named Naveen. Racial jokes are fun. lol. especially when they welcomed by the person your making fun of. We all joke around at work, all the minorities anyways. The Whites can't say anything... Because thats racist and i will report that... Real talk... Lol, jk. (unless its real... can usually tell when one is joking...)

Anyways, i was going to draw all the programmers at my job in world of Warcraft attire, and i sketched that bit out, but realized how long and tedious that process would take just by working on Naveens character, alone. I finally got around to completing it.

So i hope you enjoy. Its Naveen is persian attire on a magic flying carpet, on the sea floor.

this is actually a super big file too, i guess i was trying to make it into a wallpaper. Anyways. PZZZZZZZZzz

trip to NYC/Brooklyn Art Museum

In no particular order, i've posted these photos from a recent trip to New York/ the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Me and Collie took this awesome trip and we saw some awesome stuff, these are the one that really struck my eye. In these set of photos you'll see works from the Art of Africa, Art of Asia and Abdi Ferrah Exhibit. Also some random photos of the trip. Whatevs. lol

I was clearly enjoying the mess out of the Art of Africa, that stuff was so amazing. I honestly never knew... For real for real... Some of the stuff is was kinda freaky, but ultimately, it was amazing to see.

I loved the experience, the PMA is great, but sometimes you just gotta check out some new things. Anyways, hope ya digs these pieces of art and i encourage you guys to go check out the Brooklyn Museum of Art also. You won't regret it.

New York is so massive. Gotta go there again.

This was the 2nd and 3rd floor of the Musuem, I took 3 pictures of the thing and tried to peice them together so you guys can see the entire thing. It was really awesome.
